Depending on your relationship with us and how you interact with the Services, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

Identity and contact information, such as name, email address, mailing address, phone number, company name, job title, account credentials, government-issued identification information where required for onboarding, verification, compliance, or payment purposes.

Sensitive personal information, where applicable and lawful, such as government identification information, precise geolocation, account credentials, financial information, biometric-related data, demographic information, voice recordings, images, video recordings, or other information that may be considered sensitive under applicable law. We collect and use sensitive personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, as authorized by you, or as otherwise permitted by law.

Communications information, such as email, chat, telephone, WhatsApp, support tickets, feedback, survey responses, and other communications with us.

Job applicant information, such as application materials, interview notes, employment history, references, assessment results, and information needed to evaluate and manage the recruitment process.

4. AI, Research, and Project Data

Because Deccan AI operates in the artificial intelligence and automation space, some Services may involve AI-related workflows, including research participation, data collection, annotation, labeling, model evaluation, prompt evaluation, quality review, and generation or review of project outputs.

Where you provide personal information, project data, prompts, responses, annotations, recordings, images, videos, feedback, or other materials in connection with a project, we may use that information as described in the applicable project terms, consent form, agreement, SOW, customer agreement, or onboarding documentation.

Where we process project data on behalf of an enterprise customer, we do so as a service provider or processor under our agreement with that customer and do not use such data for our independent purposes unless authorized by the customer, permitted by law, or otherwise disclosed to you.

We do not permit contractors, freelancers, vendors, or service providers to use personal information or customer project data for their own purposes, model training, model fine-tuning, benchmarking, product development, or unrelated analytics unless expressly authorized by Deccan AI and permitted under applicable law and contract.

5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, web beacons, tags, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, secure accounts, analyze website traffic, measure performance, improve functionality, and support marketing or advertising activities.

Sale or Sharing

We do not sell personal information for money. The number of U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws continues to grow, so the policy is drafted as a state-law baseline rather than California-only.

We may process personal information in the United States, India, and other jurisdictions where we, our affiliates, vendors, contractors, or service providers operate. These jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those in your location.

We may engage contractors, freelancers, annotators, reviewers, research participants, vendors, and service providers to support the Services. Where such parties process personal information on our behalf, we require them to follow contractual confidentiality, data protection, security, use restriction, return, deletion, and incident reporting obligations.

Contractors and freelancers are not permitted to retain, reuse, sell, share, disclose, copy, download, export, train models on, or independently use personal information or project data except as expressly authorized by Deccan AI.

16. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without required consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

If a specific project involves minors or data relating to minors, we will implement any additional consent, notice, and protection requirements required by applicable law and project documentation.
